This page is maintained by the topkapipalace.co editorial team to explain, in plain English, how we handle the small amount of data our site collects. It applies to everything under the topkapipalace.co domain.

What we collect

We collect no personal data from casual visitors beyond standard server logs (IP address, request path, user agent, timestamp) kept for 30 days for security and rate-limiting. Analytics, when enabled, use a privacy-first, cookie-free provider that stores aggregated pageview data only.

If you email us

When you email us or use the contact form, we store your message and email address only long enough to reply and resolve the enquiry — typically 90 days. We do not add your address to any newsletter unless you explicitly opt in.

Cookies

topkapipalace.co does not set any first-party tracking cookies. If a third-party embedded video or map is loaded on a page, that provider may set its own cookies — we mark those cases on the page and offer a click-to-load fallback.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the equivalent EU regulation, you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted. Email privacy@topkapipalace.co and we will respond within one calendar month.

Complaints

You have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) at any time.
